There are so many potential fights for Deontay Wilder, a lot of boxing fans are already looking past Artur Szpilka, even though the Polish fighter has complied a respectable 20-1 record, with the only loss coming against BY Jennings.
But, if there one major disadvantage he faces against Wilder, it is the amount of size and reach he is giving up. Szpilka has a 77 inch reach compared to Wilder’s 83, and has a similar body type to Bermane Stiverne, who had problems landing on the rangier fighter.
Also, Szpilka has been down numerous times in his career and was stopped by Jennings, who is not known for his punching power. That, along with the fact Szpilka doesn’t have fight-changing power himself, is the reason why Wilder is such a large favorite with the online bookies.
