Odds to Win Super 8 Heavyweight Tournament

super 8 boxing tournament betting odds

Taking place this June 4th in Aukland, New Zealand, The “Super 8” tournament features eight heavyweights vying for a $500,000 purse in this “last man standing” format. The early betting favorite is Hasim Rahman, believe it nor not.

Hasim Rahman (+275) is the early betting favorite (Bet365) despite not having fought for nearly two years since his 2nd round TKO to Alexander Povetkin. Part of the reason that Rahman’s favored is because he fights Antz Nelson in the first round, who is a late replacement for Samuel Peters.

Former New Zealand rugby player turned boxer Kali Meehan is (+350) odds to win. Meehan is participating in this Super 8 tournament after having not had a pro fight in 3 years. Meehan will be facing 10-2 Australian boxer Hunter Sam in the first round.

Prizefighter winner Michael Sprott is (+350) and on of the front runners to win the Super 8 due to his experience in these “last man standing” formats. He will be facing fellow Prizefighter competitor Martin Rogan in the first round.

  • Kali Meehan (+350)
