Adrien Broner wins a close split decision against Adrian Granados in an entertaining fight that thrilled fans in Cincinnati.
Granados put forth a spirited effort, especially in the opening rounds, though he faded late and that may have cost him the win. Compubox stats showed that Broner outlanded him in the final 3 rounds.
All in all, it was a very entertaining fight that saw both fighters combine for over 1000 punches in a 10 round fight. It was also revealed after the fight that Broner broke his hand in Round 1.
Two judges saw it 97-93, 96-94 for Broner, while one judge saw it 97-93 for Granados. The split decision was understandable in this case because many of the rounds were close and could have gone either way. Showtime’s Al Bernstein had the fight even heading into the final round.
