Top Rank’s Chinese star Rex Tso continues his unbeaten streak at 20 wins after he beat Ryuto Maekawa by unanimous decision in Hong Kong. The fight was one-sided on the scorecards, but was entertaining and had the fans ringside cheering.
Rex Tso proved to be too skillful for Ryuto Maekawa and was landing some eye-catching punches that thrilled the fans in attendance. Though he was getting his head snapped back with regularity, Maekawa proved to be a tough customer and was not going anywhere.
Maekawa had his moments in the fight as it seemed that Rex Tso would, at times, opt to stand toe-to-toe with his opponent and engaged in some exciting exchanges that showed his desire to put on a show for the Hong Kong crowd.
After all was said and done, Rex Tso upset the late gambling money that was bet on his opponent and drove the odds from Tso as a 20-to-1 favorite — down to 8-to-1. The judges scored the fight as a 92-98, 92-98, 91-99 UD win for Tso.
